Don’t Drink Alcohol … Gamble

[ English | Deutsch | Español | Français | Italiano ]

If you like to indulge in a drink every so often, leave your money at home if you intend to do your drinking in a brick and mortar betting house. I’m serious. clean out your handbag, your money belt, and leave all money, debit cards and cheques at home. Take just the cash you are planning to spend on alcohol, tips and whatever pocket change you plan on loosing and keep the remainder behind.

Cynical? Not at all. Realistic really. You may well discover a win after a boozy evening out with your buddies and be lucky enough to catch a 25 minute roll at a smokin craps table. Hold on to that story because it is as short-lived as it gets if you continually drink and gamble. The 2 simply do not mix.

Keeping your cash at home is a bit dramatic, but precautionary measures for dramatic behavior is proportionate and required. If you bet to succeed, then don’t consume alcohol and bet. If you are able to manage to toss away your cash without a second thought, then drink all the free booze your belly can handle, but do not take debit cards and cheques to toss into the combination of chasing losses after your inebriated brain squanders everything!
